STO Protect:
Is a Clear Coating Weather Proof System for Concrete Blocks & Complys with CAANZ CP01
Blocks that require clear weather proof sealing:
We use the certified S-Protect Sto coating system. Sto have designed the transparent S-Protect coating system for architectural block work that meets the relevant weather proofing standards in New Zealand. The S-Protect sealing system has been independently tested by OPUS NZ to ensure it meets all clear weather proofing requirements.
The S-Protect system consists of 2 flood coats of a penetrating silane primer (WS405) which is left to fully catalyse for 5 days before application of 3 coats of a clear sealer (S-Protect). The clear sealer is a low sheen finish. The Sto-Protect clear sealer is extremely durable and has good flexibility and breathability whilst enhancing and weather proofing the block work.
Blocktec is an approved Sto applicator. Our staff are trained to ensure all clear seal weather proofing is carried out to exact specification.
For non-critical weather proofing on block:
Work such as internal decorative walls, garden landscape walls or block veneers, Sto has designed sealing systems which will preserve, enhance and protect the block work against efflorescence and micro-organism growth.
